MOUNTAIN CLIMBING

This is one of the activities that I like or can also be called a hobby, of course my hobby is hiking.I often do climbing activities during semester breaks sometimes also on Saturdays or Sundays, and I often do these activities with my schoolmates and peers at home. for this activity, it requires careful preparation so that there is no miss when on the mountain because this is one of the extreme activities, therefore we have to prepare like we have to pay attention to health and the goods we carry including logistics or food that will we need it on the mountain because there are only a few mountains that have logistical sales points. Maybe for some people think mountain climbing is one of the activities that may not be useful and is just a waste of energy, but in my opinion climbing is an activity that provides a lot of positive value for me such as reducing selfishness in one high school, learning to coordinate with other friends, fostering trust in friends and the most important thing for me is the feeling of calm at the top of the mountain, maybe this is what makes me like to climb. And maybe a little message from me for you beginner climbers, you should train your physical as well as running jogging first, basically in practice, exercise the strength of your feet, which is the most important for me.
Next, maybe the items needed when we are going to climb and I will explain a little about the uses of these items.
            1. A carrier bag (this carrier bag or mountain bag is used to carry personal equipment when climbing a mountain and help ease our baggage)
            2. Mountain shoes (shoes function to protect our feet from the terrain that might hurt our feet because usually the terrain is composed of chunks of rock)
           3. Sleeping bag (Sleeping bag is useful to maintain the temperature during sleep so that it stays normal and does not feel cold)
           4. Mattress (used when we sleep so that our body does not hurt because of the uneven terrain and so that the cold of the soil is not too noticeable)
            5. Flashlight (used to illuminate the night trip and choose a flashlight that can penetrate the fog)
            6. Change clothes (The clothes used for climbing should you choose clothes that are loose and not too thick, the resulting sweat will dry quickly)
         7. Personal medicines (the fees brought are cold medicines, eucalyptus oil, patches, antiseptics and wound plasters, some medicines that can be taken for climbing. But for those of you who have special diseases it is strongly recommended to bring the medicine needed yourself)
            8. Raincoat (so the body does not get wet if it rains and can also be used to cover the tent so that the rain water does not enter the tent)
          9. Equipment for eating and drinking (usually in the form of spoons, plastic plates, plastic cups)
         10. Logistics (such as food reserves such as bread, honey, milk, instant noodles, drinking water)

So here I will be a little story about the first experience of climbing me, the first mountain I chose for my explore is Mount Merabu which is in the area of village selo, districts Boyolali. I climbed this mountain when I sat in class 1 high school. Where this activity was planned suddenly, where only four people decided to want to climb the mountain, including aldo, danag, and irba. Precisely in the August 2015 question after school, I, e, decided to look for the tools used for climbing such as stoves, small gas cylinders, tents, mattresses, backpacks, SBs for sleeping, and other logistics equipment. Afternoon after we had finished searching for our equipment home and preparing to begin the journey to Mount Merabu.
Arriving at base camp at around 16:30 we took a short break, finished the break we began to do a short story climb after 4 hours of travel there was a slight obstacle where there was strong wind and raindrops, we also rushed out the rain coat from our backpack and continued our journey Because there was heavy rain, we were quickly drained because the terrain was very difficult to pass and we often decided to take a rest which resulted in the bag and its contents getting wet. When we arrived at post three or the watu gubug post we decided to set up a tent because physically it was not possible, with wet clothes we tried to set up our tent even though you experienced problems again how our tent frame iron broke which caused the tent to not stand perfectly, without thinking Our lengths all went into the tent and slept because we couldn't stand the cold air in the post. In the morning at 8:00 we got up and decided not to continue the climb and we hurriedly packed up our belongings and went back down. We arrived at the base camp at 3:00 p.m. and we immediately cleaned our bodies and went home. This is an experience that might not be forgotten because there are so many unexpected things on the trip.
From August 2015 to the present, I may have conquered some of the mountains in the mountains of Merbabu, Andong, Prau, and the last and perhaps the most memorable for me is mountain Prau. Where on June 28, 2018, I and five of my friends, including virtual, deby, adi, aldo, and irba decided to climb Mount Lawu. The equipment is not much different from the previous climb. Mount Lawu is probably one of the mountains that has a mythical story that is very trusted by the local people. The myth that develops is the presence of starlings, and butterflies that will guide the climbers so that they are locked, maybe I initially did not believe in the myth, the edge after I made the climb about two hours I met the starling and I was shocked by the arrival the bird, and again a surprising thing where there is a house inhabited by an old woman or commonly referred to as "mok yem" along with a child, there they provide food and mineral water whose prices may be expensive. And this climbing trip takes quite a long time which is two days because of the road that pays the mountain. But the long journey paid off with a stunning view on the peak of the mountain.
How much about hobbies and my first climbing experience may be useful for us all ...
god bless …… ..GBU ,,,,,,,
